Mogale City now has 6 743 confirmed cases of Covid-19
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 19 August is 12 952, with 231 deaths and 10 419 recoveries. There are 70 new cases.
As at 19 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 6 743, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 5 301 people have recovered so far.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 3 369 and 2 749 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 2 798 and 2 320 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 19 August is 12 952, with 231 deaths and 10 419 recoveries. There are 70 new cases.
In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 619, with 9 251 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 201 011, with 167 812 recoveries and 3 061 deaths.
A total number of 3 433 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
