Mogale City now has 6 977 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 5 586 recoveries

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 29 August is 13 390, with 248 deaths and 10 953 recoveries. There are 31 new cases.

As at 29 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 6 977, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 5 586 people have recovered so far.

Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 3 507 and 2 814 cases respectively. There are 92 unallocated cases in this District as well. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 2 952 and 2 415 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 29 August is 13 390, with 248 deaths and 10 953 recoveries. There are 31 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 905, with 9 860 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 209 123 with 180 345 recoveries and 3 556 deaths.

A total number of 2 818 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
