Following a Tshepisong business robbery, Kagiso Police launched a manhunt for four suspects, two of them armed with firearms. One was arrested on Tuesday.

A manhunt by the Kagiso Police paid off when they arrested one of the men implicated in a business robbery.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, Kagiso Police spokesperson said a 31-year-old man will be appearing in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 30 September for allegedly being involved in a business robbery that took place on Saturday, 26 September in Tshepisong.

He and his brother were asleep at the back of the shop when this happened. Once inside the robbers demanded cash at gunpoint. They then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, a variety of cigarette cartons, cosmetics, a plasma TV and three cellphones.

Kagiso Police launched a manhunt for the four suspects, and got a tip-off on Tuesday afternoon, 29 September on one of the suspects’ whereabouts. He was cornered and eventually apprehended,” explained Sibiya.

Since the other three suspects are still on the run, the Kagiso Police are appealing to members of the public to assist in locating them.
