Going for a hike? Why not help clean up the kloof?
If you were planning on getting in touch with nature this coming weekend why not do a good deed and help clean up the kloof while you take a hike.
There are those in the community who want to help but do not know how, and after lockdown money could be scarce.
If you do not have money to give, why not give of your time and help the Kenmare Kloof Conservation Association to clean up the kloof this coming weekend?
The Association calls this project the perfect opportunity to meet other nature enthusiasts, get healthier, help the environment and enjoy the clean water and fresh air.
They will not only be picking up rubbish but also removing invasive plants that grow in the kloof.
Everyone is welcome to join them from 8am on Saturday, 10 October. They urge helpers and hikers to remember their hats, a bag for rubbish, gloves and a mask, cutting tools, sunblock and comfortable shoes.

Entrance will be R20 per person and children under 10 enter for free. There will also be food and drinks stalls available.
There is plenty of parking at the meeting point, the Kenmare Kloof lapa gate and the team will also be joined by the Community Policing Forum and the 1st Eagle Scouts group.
