All the best – St Ursula’s to learners ahead of exams

From the very beginning of lockdown it was all systems go in terms of online learning and teaching.

St Ursula’s wish their learners all the best with the exams that are around the corner.

“St Ursula’s School has felt the repercussions of the dreaded Covid-19 virus as much as everyone else, but we have persevered through and managed to keep our learners on track with their education and learning,” said Felicity Blackmore-Reed, the Deputy Principal of the school.

She explained that from the very beginning of lockdown it was all systems go in terms of online learning and teaching.

“As the learners were brought back to school systematically, the need for masks, social distancing and sanitizing was emphasised and explained. This process is now second nature to us all and we are a finely tuned machine in the mornings with greeting, screening and sending off to class,” she said.

She added that this way of doing things has not necessarily been negative for all, and it has brought staff and learners together.

Another change at the school came in the form of Sister Diane Margaret Granger who returned as the school’s principal.

“She has brought a sense of calmness and dependability.”

They want to take an opportunity to wish all their learners, especially their Grade 12’s, all the best for the final exams.

“This is a year very few will soon forget, and we commend the learners for the way in which they have handled all the changes.”
