Woman bites ex-boyfriend while raping her

Police arrested the 26-year-old man after he allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend

Brigadier Themba Maduna, the Kagiso Police station commander has strongly condemned any gender-based violence directed at women, and applauded his members for arresting a man on suspicion of rape.

Kagiso Police’s spokesperson, Captain Solomon Sibiya said their members arrested the 26-year-old man after he allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend in Swanieville, Kagiso, following an argument.
The victim told police she went to her ex-boyfriend’s place on 24 October at about 6.50pm after he had called her to meet up with him.

“On arrival at the man’s residence they started discussing the preparations for their twins who had passed on. The man suddenly became aggressive and attacked the woman using his fists,” Sibiya said.

He then attacked her with a chair, undressed her and placed her on the bed.

“He eventually raped the victim but she retaliated by biting him in the neck. She managed to push him off her.”

She grabbed her trousers, fled the scene, and reported the matter to the Kagiso Police.

“The suspect was sought and eventually arrested at his home. A case docket of rape was opened at Kagiso Police and the suspect appeared briefly in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court facing charges of rape,” Sibiya said.
