School makes big donation to Munsieville community

Parents, teachers and learners from the Kingswood Academy gave what they can to help the Munsieville community.

It is said there is no greater feeling than giving.

That is exactly what learners, teachers and parents from the Kingswood Academy did recently.

On Friday, 11 December, learners from the school visited The Thoughtful Path in Munsieville where they handed out clothes donations and non-perishable food to members of the Munsieville community.

Eve Moekena from the school explained that they decided to give the donations to the Thoughtful Path because of where the organisation is situated.

Eve Mokoena and Natasha Kokota helped pack the food parcels.

We are a school that believes in giving back to the community and want to build a long-term relationship with the Thoughtful Path,” Eve said.

She added that this was the first of many campaigns the school will run to help the community.

Eve said it all started in October 2020 when the school had their collect-a-can drive, which encouraged people to ‘give what they can’.

Bsiswe Nani, Gabriel Sado, Craig Maseko, Jeffery Nkani and David Okorie are some of the Kingswood Primary school learners that helped to distribute the donations.
