Mogale City reports 286 Covid-19 related deaths
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 20 991, with 535 deaths and 18 257 recoveries.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 11 097 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 9 718 people have recovered so far. There has been a total of 286 Covid-19 related deaths.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 5 971 and 3 917 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 5 062 and 3 471 recoveries respectively.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 18 362 and 15 871 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 358 462 with 303 977 recoveries and 6 887 deaths.
