Truck crashes into wall: Two injured, one serious

Truck driver loses control and crashes it into wall in Oaktree – two injured.

Two men were injured, one seriously, when the truck they were travelling in collided with a wall at the N14 and R563 T-junction in Oaktree on Wednesday afternoon, 20 January.

The driver is said to have lost control of the truck.

ER24 paramedics reportedly were on the scene of the accident at 5.27pm alongside other private emergency services units, the West Rand Fire Department and Mogale City Public Safety.

ER24’s multimedia producer, Ross Campbell explained that, “The passenger, a man in his 30s, was found sitting on the grass next to the vehicle. He had suffered minor injuries and one of the other private medical services on the scene took him to the Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital for further treatment.”

According to ER24, a 57-year-old man was found trapped inside the cab of the truck.

After the West Rand Fire Department had managed to extricate the patient, he received advanced life support interventions. ER24 transported him to Leratong Hospital for further care.”
