A lovers’ quarrel turned deadly when a man allegedly killed his partner during a heated argument.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, the Kagiso Police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of a murder suspect in Tshepisong on Wednesday, 27 January.

He explained that they received a call in the afternoon about a murder and the police swiftly responded to the scene in Tshepisong.

Upon arrival they found the paramedics and the suspect inside the couple’s bedroom.”

The suspect then told police that he and the deceased had a fight following a heated argument. He also admitted that he assaulted his girlfriend with his fists and a broom.

Paramedics declared the woman dead on scene. She had severe bruises, abrasions to the body and her face was swollen.”

The man was taken to the Kagiso Police Station were a murder docket was opened.

He will be appearing in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon.
