The police are looking for information that can assist them in finding the person(s) responsible for the murder of a taxi owner on Thursday morning, 4 February in Tshepisong Phase 07.
Captain Solomon Sibiya, the Kagiso Police spokesperson said they have opened a murder case following the killing of the 35-year-old taxi owner.
He explained that police received a call from Tshepsiong residents that someone had been murdered. When they arrived at the scene they found the deceased with his back against the passenger door of his Toyota Hilux light delivery vehicle.
“He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and head.”
Sibiya said his vehicle was riddled with bullet holes, and police found cartridges for a high-calibre firearm as well as a 9mm pistol on the scene.
The taxi owner was declared dead on scene by paramedics. The motive for the killing is being investigated by the Kagiso Police.
