Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City shows a slight increase
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 246 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 284 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 11 810 people have recovered so far. There has been 366 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 108.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 796 and 4 689 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 532 and 4 453 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 23 776 with 763 deaths and 22 797 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 20 362 and 19 892 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 406 729 with 393 726 recoveries and 9 854 deaths.
