Total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Mogale City at 12 346
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 133 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 346 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 11 919 people have recovered so far. There has been 371 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 56.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 825 and 4 750 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 579 and 4 521 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 23 928 with 774 deaths and 23 021 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 20 477 and 20 010 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 409 404 with 396 758 recoveries and 10 019 deaths.
