The woman found shot and killed inside her vehicle in Rangeview has been identified as Corli van der Walt.
The 43-year-old Van der Walt was shot multiple times in the upper body while on her way to work in her maroon/ red Toyota Rav between 08:00 and 08:30 on Saturday June 12.

West Rand District Police spokesperson, Gloria Maswanganye confirmed that a case of murder is being investigated.
Van der Walt worked as a veterinarian at the Bromhof Veterinary Clinic in Randburg for four years.
On their Facebook page, colleagues spoke highly of the murdered Van der Walt saying, “Dr Corli always went the extra mile; her love and passion for her job as a vet and her care for her patients were exceptional. She always had a smile on her face, and nothing was too difficult for her to do. She was a brilliant mentor and an even better friend. We have been so blessed to have had her with our team these past four years, and we will miss her dearly.”

The police are appealing to anyone with information to please contact the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111; alternatively, relay information via the My SAPS app. The along with the Sector 7 CPF revealed that they were looking for the person driving a particular white bakkie.

“It is suspected that the assailant drove a single-cab white Izuzu bakkie,” said Mark Trump of the Sector 7 CPF.
