Following a shooting in Chamdor on Thursday, September 9 the Kagiso Police said a 68-year-old guard and two suspects were shot and killed on scene.

Kagiso Police spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya said at about 16:30 an armed thug entered a butchery while his three accomplices were standing guard outside. He robbed them of an undisclosed amount of cash before exchanging gunfire with the owner.
During the shootout two employees were wounded and subsequently rushed to hospital.
“The two fatally wounded suspects’ firearms with filed off serial numbers were recovered in their possession,” said Sibiya, adding that the surviving suspects fled in a white Toyota Corolla.
