Big boost for the Cradle’s Ark in Tarlton
SERR Synergy made a valuable financial donation which The Cradle is free to use to cover any of their operational costs.
The Cradle of Hope has been a mainstay on the West Rand for many years. It has become a prominent safe haven for women and children from all over who have fallen into bad times, and often have escaped horrible circumstances. This indeed is a place of hope.
The Cradle cares for many, be it through giving them a place to stay and recuperate, or by providing a daily meal to the few hundred people who queue outside their premises in the mornings. But, helping so many month after month takes its toll, leaving the organisation with a consistent need of funding. Their operations cannot be maintained without regular help from a caring community and business sector.

Knowing about their great and ever-growing need, the team at SERR Synergy, which provides legal compliance and transformation solutions, felt an urge to reach out and help.
“The ladies from our team have known about The Cradle of Hope and the work they do, and felt we were in a position to reach out,” explained Audrey Cloete.
SERR got in contact with The Cradle and on Friday, February 25 they paid a visit to their office in Krugersdorp West to make a valuable financial donation (an amount they wished not to make public), which The Cradle is free to use to cover any of their operational costs.
“It’s all about Ubuntu for us; the concept of ‘I am because you are’. It makes one proud to know that you can help and make a difference in someone’s life. The concept of Ubuntu goes hand in hand with SERR’s slogan ‘A service to many leads to greatness’,” Audrey said.
Dima Tomotomo from The Cradle of Hope explained that they were looking to upgrade the grounds of the Cradle Ark in Tarlton by building a crèche for the children, and they still need to install a proper water and sanitation system for the residents. This donation, she explained, would help a great deal but the need remained fairly large.
They are reaching out to the community for help in this regard, and The Cradle can be contacted at pr@thecradleofhope.org. Direct any enquiries to 076 579 0941.
