Expect delays at Pinehaven exit on March 23

Repairs to an underground water leak may cause delays at the Pinehaven Estate exit on Wednesday, March 23.

The Mogale City Local Municipality Ward 39 councillor wishes residents to take note of emergency road works at Pinehaven while an underground water leak is being repaired.

“Repairs will start tomorrow, March 23 and Public Safety will be assisting with traffic control. A section of the road will be closed for use at the exit point of Pinehaven Estate and the Netcare Pinehaven Hospital.

Water tankers will be available during the day for those who may need additional water while the valves are shut. I have requested that tankers be stationed in front of the estate and at the Pinehaven weighbridge next to Usumbara Lodge.

“Please travel with extreme caution while the repairs are underway. Thank you for you patience and understanding.”

The duration of the repairs will depend on the scope of the work and will be determined as work continues.

Motorists may expect delays at this intersection.
