Major honour for Monument Rotary member

A member of the Monument Rotary Club received a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Recognition – a goal of Rotarians the world over.

The Monument Rotary Club presented Rotarian Gabriel Vieira with the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition on Thursday, March 31.

By becoming a Paul Harris Fellow, Gabriel joins a remarkable company of persons throughout the world. According to André Vermooten, Monument Rotary Club president, they are recognised for their devotion to the ideal of goodwill, peace and understanding – a goal of Rotarians the world over.

The club also inducted two new members, Jeanette du Preez and George van der Merwe.

We all want to do good and make a difference in our community, but we often feel that the impact we make is so little. By joining Rotary, we join a family of like-minded individuals who, together, are able to make a much bigger impact in society.”

The Monument Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 19:00 at the Khosa Sports Club.
