Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) have released a statement to explain when refuse in certain areas will be collected.
The statement said that the Mogale City Waste Management Division wished to apologise to residents and businesses affected by the non-provision of refuse collection service on scheduled days. This was from Thursday, April 28 until Wednesday May 4 and was due to a labour dispute.
However, waste collection did resume on Thursday, May 5.
Due to the workload, we must stick to our normal schedule for the remainder of the week to avoid further backlogging.”
This means that areas which has not been serviced from Monday to Wednesday will only be covered in the upcoming week and they urged the affected residents to keep their refuse bins in their yard until next week.
