Woman robbed at gunpoint: Man wanted

On January 26 at about 15:30 a woman from Swaneville was robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint.

Police are asking for assistance to find a man who could help them in their investigation of a robbery in which a 30-year-old-woman was the victim.

Kagiso Police Station spokesperson Captain Solomon Sibiya explained that on January 26 at about 15:30 a woman from Swaneville was allegedly robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint.

It happened after a man approached her and started a conversation. Two of the man’s accomplices arrived in a white VW Polo of which the registration number is unknown. One of them got out of the vehicle, drew a firearm and ordered the victim to hand over her cell phone.

The suspect was wearing a yellow striped shirt, black jeans and black shoes.”

The police are asking the community to please come forward with any information about the suspects’ whereabouts by contacting the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111 or the Kagiso police on 011 696 9065. The investigating officer Sergeant Frans Mosome can be contacted on 079 899 4294. Alternatively members of the public can use the SMS line on 32211 or provide information anonymously via the My SAPS app.
