Kidnapping on Main Reef one of several incidents in Mogale — Mapogo

Mapogo reports 11 serious incidents in Mogale this past week, including kidnapping.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security has reported at least 11 incidents that the company’s personnel attended to this past week in Krugersdorp.

The full report for the period June 13 to June 19 is as follows:

• Monday, June 13 at 55:58 – Theft on Luipaard Street:
 Perpetrator gained entry through the electric fence and removed two air-conditioning units from the wall before fleeing.

• Tuesday, June 14:30 – Theft on Reserve Street, Wentworth Park: Perpetrators climbed over the palisade fence, and stole items from a garden hut, and fled the scene when the owner gave the alarm.

 Tuesday, June 14 at 15:42 – Attempted theft on Karl Street, Krugersdorp West: Perpetrator climbed over the wall and attempted to steal items when the neighbour gave the alarm. The thug left all the items behind and fled the scene.

• Wednesday, June 15 at 01:05 – Housebreaking and theft on Rustenburg Road, Krugersdorp West: Perpetrators broke the lock of the shop roller door, stole items from the shop and fled the scene.

• Wednesday, June 15 at 02:34 – Damage to property on Road 3, Tarlton:
 When perpetrators cut the fence the alarm activated and they fled the scene.

• Wednesday, June 15 at 05:11 – Housebreaking and theft on Hanekom Street, Noordheuwel: Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises over the wall and cut the electric fence. They then forced open the garage door and stole several items from the garage before fleeing the scene.

• Thursday, June 17 at 06:47 – Damage to property on Nightingale Street, Krugersdorp North: Perpetrators broke a pre-cast slab on the R28 road side to gain entry onto the premises, but they did not take anything and left the premises.

• Friday, June 18 at 20:45 – Attempted housebreaking at LJC Plots, Tarlton: 
Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises by cutting the electric fence. They broke the kitchen window and forced open the burglar bars. The perpetrators were scared off by the owner’s dogs and fled the scene empty-handed.

• Friday, June 18 at 2:24 – Theft on Commissioner Street, Krugersdorp CBD: Perpetrators broke the lock of the gas bottle cage, stole a gas bottle, and fled the scene.

• Saturday, June 18 at 23:21 – Kidnapping on Main Reef Road, Krugersdorp: Whilst standing outside a complex, a woman was grabbed by unknown men and dragged into the bushes. She was held to ransom and released later in the morning. The police are investigating the case.

• Sunday, June 19 at 8:50 – Housebreaking and theft on Poole Street, Dan Pienaarville: Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises by climbing over the fence. They proceeded to the lapa and stole a television before fleeing.
