School girl robbed on her way home: Two wanted

'Two females were also part of the group and a case of robbery has since been reported and is under investigation' – police.

Police have launched a manhunt for five suspects in connection with the robbery of a 15-year-old girl. The incident occurred on August 2 at about 16:30.

According to police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the victim was walking home from school on Otto Street in Krugersdorp North when she was accosted by three men and two women.

One of the men was armed with a knife and threatened to hurt her, while the other two men grabbed her school bag and her sports bag with her school uniform inside. The thugs also took off with her house keys, her cellphone, calculator and tennis racket.

“The two females were also part of the group and a case of robbery has since been reported and is under investigation,” said Sebonyane who added that identity kits of the two females have already been compiled.

According to information received, the first female suspect is average in height, and is of medium build. She has brownish eyes, is dark in complexion and was wearing a brown Brazilian wig and a maroon jersey at the time.

Krugersdorp police need your help in locating this woman. She is wanted in connection with the robbery of a 15-year-old school girl.

The second female suspect is of medium build and tall, with brownish eyes. She is also dark in complexion and was speaking Zulu at the time of the incident. She was wearing a floral T-shirt.
