Decomposed body found, police suspect foul play

Police have launched an investigation after a decomposed body was discovered in a stream near Randfontein Road in Kagiso on Tuesday, October 22.

According to Johannesburg Water Policing and Diving Services spokesperson Raymond Sambo, divers were deployed to the scene at about 09:30 and found the body of a man in a stream.

“On arrival, police proceeded to retrieve the body, that of a male. The body was in a severe state of decomposition and was handed over to Kagiso Police for further investigations,” Sambo stated.

He added foul play is suspected and that the body was possibly dumped.
