Hijacked vehicle recovered and two arrested in Kagiso

While conducting their routine duties, members of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens’ western corridor, along with other crime prevention wardens, received information regarding a vehicle that was hijacked in the East Rand.

According to Gauteng Provincial Police spokesperson Dimakatso Sello, the vehicle is believed to have been targeted in the early hours of Thursday, April 10.

“The team mobilised and responded to the information received, leading to the recovery of the hijacked vehicle in Jacob Street, Kagiso. Several law enforcement agencies were involved, from public law enforcement and private security.

We eventually received a tip off from one of our wardens who identified the vehicle, which led to two arrests.”
