Kagiso drug busts lead to three arrests

The police’s West Rand Flying Squad (WRFS) reported several successful arrests made between January 8 and 9.

The police’s West Rand Flying Squad (WRFS) arrested three young adults in Kagiso between January 8 and 9, seizing Cat, crystal meth, Nyaope and Rocks valued at more than R8 500.

WRFS spokesperson Karen du Plessis said officers conducted three separate drug busts in the Kagiso area over the two days.

On January 8, one person was arrested after being found in possession of 10g of Cat, valued at R2 470.

The following day, January 9, another person was arrested for possession of 12g of crystal meth, worth an estimated R3 612.

Later that same day, officers made a third arrest when another person was found in possession of 19 sachets of Nyaope and 11g of Rocks, with a combined street value of R2 450.

Du Plessis confirmed that all three suspects were between the ages of 20 and 25.
