According to WRFS spokesperson Karen du Plessis, two notable incidents occurred between January 19 and 22.
On January 19, police recovered a hijacked Nissan NV200 in a Munsieville field, though no suspects were apprehended.

On January 22, an arrest was made at the Krugersdorp taxi rank.
“We arrested one suspect for the possession of five ties of Nayope, with the value of R225,” said du Plessis.
Du Plessis concluded that the WRFS continues to focus on vehicle recovery and drug enforcement operations to combat crime in the West Rand.
