Murder fugitive tracked down in Muldersdrift
A wanted murder suspect who evaded police for months was arrested in Muldersdrift after Guardmax Protection Services acted on reliable intelligence.
A local security company acted on reliable information about the whereabouts of a wanted murder suspect after he was reportedly spotted at an informal settlement in Muldersdrift.
According to Guardmax Protection Services sales manager Gerrie van Rooyen, at about 11:05 on August 4, the team followed up on the information, and their source led them to the suspect’s alleged hiding place.

“Our team investigated, and a sudden scramble occurred when they entered the room, as the suspect attempted to flee on foot,” he said.
Van Rooyen said the suspect was successfully apprehended and confronted regarding the allegations. He was positively identified as being wanted for murder and other serious offences in Bloemfontein, although further details remain unknown.

“The suspect was evading arrest for many months and was hiding in the wrong place. The suspect was handed over to police for further investigations,” he concluded.
