Municipality’s new online portal explained

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has provided more clarity on the new online portal system.

Mogale City’s customer care centre hopes to answer many residents’ questions concerning accessing their municipal statements online, as well as the differences between the old online portal and the new online portal.

MCLM’s communication officer Refilwe Mahlangu confirmed that there will be steps that account users must follow to be familiar with the layout.

The old online portal:

The latest statements for March are available on the old online customer portal which remains accessible to municipal account holders.

To access the online portal, view and download statements on the old portal users must follow these steps:

1. Visit www.mogalecity.gov.za and click on the ”View Online Statement” button.
2. Log into the old portal using your new 10-digit account number as your username and password.
3. The new 10-digit account numbers were sent out via SMS along with account balances in the previous weeks.
4. If you have not received the new new 10-digit account via SMS please contact the customer care centre on 0861 664 253 or send a WhatsApp message to 083 787 2814.

The new online portal:

While the new online customer portal is live, note that the latest statements will not be loaded at this point. The reason for launching the new portal is to allow account holders to first register their profiles and become familiar with its features. Statements for the next billing cycle will be available on the new portal in mid-May
