Burst pipe leaves some residents in Rant-en-Dal without water
There is no estimate on when it will be repaired.
Residents in Wren Street, Rant-en-Dal woke up this morning (January 28) without water due to a burst pipe.
Councillor Amy Steyn said the pipe has since been closed to stop the water flow and they are waiting for a tractor-loader-backhoe (TLB) to arrive.
The pipe is located under a substation.
“They will possibly have to turn off the substation to fix the pipe which might affect the electricity supply to the area,” she added.
Steyn concluded there is no estimate on when it will be repaired.
