Refuse removal issue piling up in council
A council meeting mentioned the issue of refuse removal and how frustrated residents are.
Refuse removal is a hot topic nowadays and gaining more and more attention.
According to councillor Aletta van Loggenberg, numerous residents’ refuse is not being picked up and a council meeting was held on Wednesday, January 29 to discuss the issue.
“When refuse is not being collected, it leads to residents dumping illegally,” she stated.
She further requested an update on the progress of the re-opening of the landfill, because people are resorting to dumping illegally.
