Rand Water will perform critical maintenance at its Zuikerbosch and Vereeniging facilities from June 30 to July 21, aiming to enhance system performance and reliability.

According to Tendani Shavhani, Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) communications officer, during this period, water pumping will stop for six hours, resume at 50% capacity for the next 42 hours, and finally operate at 80% capacity for the following 19 days.
“These changes will cause water supply disruptions in parts of Krugersdorp, with full recovery possibly taking up to two weeks after normal operations resume. To manage the situation, Water Services will throttle reservoir outlets to maintain supply and pressure.
Additional updates and emergency measures, such as water tankers, will be provided closer to the shutdown date,” she concluded.
