MCLM communications officer, Refilwe Mahlangu, confirmed this will happen tomorrow (June 18) from 09:00 to 17:00.

“This planned outage is essential for necessary maintenance, including the decommissioning and refurbishment of a mini substation,” Mahlangu stated.

She added, this will affect Lismore and Willoughby Roads and possibly adjacent roads.

We sincerely apologise that this could not have been done earlier, due to a shortage of materials.

“To prevent any damage from electrical surges, we urge you to treat all wiring as live and switch off all appliances during the outage,” she concluded.
