Municipal accounts go fully digital

Mogale City residents will now receive municipal statements electronically as the municipality phases out printed billing in favour of a fully digital system.

Residents will no longer be issued printed municipal statements and related documents from Mogale City.

According to Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) senior communications practitioner, Tendani Shavani, all statements will now be distributed electronically via the municipality’s online customer portal and by email, as has already been partially implemented by the Finance Management Services department.

Residents who have not yet registered on the online portal are encouraged to do so to continue receiving their municipal statements on time.

How to register:

• Visit www.mogalecity.gov.za and click on the website banner
• Select Sign Up
• Enter your name, surname, username and password to create a profile
• Click verify email
• Enter the verification code sent to your registered email address.
• Click View or Add My Account.

Alternatively, residents may request their statements by emailing customerservices@mogalecity.gov.za or enquiring about account balances via SMS or WhatsApp on 083 787 2814.

Residents are further encouraged to update their contact details. including email and postal addresses, to ensure uninterrupted receipt of municipal statements and other important municipal communications.

The municipality has thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation as it transitions towards a faster, more efficient and paperless service delivery system.
