Mogale City water shutdown to impact 12 areas tomorrow
Rand Water check meter installation at Voortrekker meter will disrupt supply to local suburbs and businesses for up to 24 hours.
Residents and businesses across Mogale City are urged to store water ahead of a planned 12-hour supply shutdown set to begin tomorrow.
Refilwe Mahlangu, assistant to Mogale City Local Municipality’s media and PR manager, said the interruption will start at 15:00, with full supply expected to be restored on Wednesday, October 14.
Check meter installation
Mahlangu said the check meter at the Voortrekker water meter will assist the municipality to measure bulk water received from Rand Water accurately.
Should technicians encounter delays, the shutdown could extend to 24 hours.
