Festive fun in the Appel Park sun!
Underprivileged children from Appel Park were treated to an early Christmas by a local church and Impisi Fibre.
Love and Grace Ministry together with Impisi Fibre had a Christmas party for the underprivileged children who live in Appel Park in Krugersdorp West on Saturday November 19.

Pastor Stuart Kiloh from the Love and Grace Ministry, said that one of the pastors in the ministry had a vision about the event, and that was when people started contacting companies for assistance, “Impisi Fibre was involved in our first StreetKids birthday bash in May and then again for the StreetKids Christmas feast. Egoli Food basket is a pace that we buy from for our normal outreaches. They then came on board and sponsored us with all the food for the day. The bibles were donated by Yeshua Bibles which we contacted through a pastor that we know”, said Pastor Kiloh.

This event is the second event that Impisi Fibre and local church Love and Grace Ministry have partnered together.
“Earlier this year we held StreetKids Birthday bash,” said spokesperson of Impisi Fibre Somila Nyamakazi.

This event was not aimed at inviting certain children but rather the children of the community to come out and have fun, play games and win prizes.
“Krugersdorp West is commonly known for having the most less fortunate and disadvantage groups around the West Rand and because we always have charity work around the Krugersdorp area, we felt it would be suitable to host a Christmas party for the kids there,” said Somila.

The local company has assisted the Krugersdorp West community before by installing geysers, and revamping a vegetable garden, “It was believed that the old people bathed/showered in cold water, so we donated geysers. We saw that the place needed much attention, so we all took part in cleaning up the yard, planting vegetable seeds,” said Somila.

The day was full of gift-giving and smiles from the children and food to keep the tummies full.
“KFC AKM Foods in Port Elizabeth sponsored the buckets with sweet and cold drinks in it,” concluded Pastor Kiloh.
