Seven men arrested in murder and arson case

Seven men, aged between 19 and 39, were arrested and charged in relation to the death of a man in Munsieville.

Seven men have been arrested on suspicions of arson as well as the murder of a 37-year old-man from Munsieville over the weekend.

Krugersdorp Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane said in a statement that the police were called to a complaint of murder and arson in the Mshenguville informal settlement in Munsieville at about 05:30 on Sunday, November 27.

When police arrived on scene, a man who lives in the backyard showed them where the burnt shack was. Inside the shack police found the body of a man, who was identified by the resident to be 37 years old.

The Krugersdorp Police’s detectives opened a case of murder and arson which was then led by Lieutenant Colonel Bethuel Silinda. The investigation led to the arrest of the seven men who ranges between 19 and 39 years old. They will all be appearing in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court.
