Tsebo Litheko, acting Chief Executive Officer, welcomed everyone, saying, “The idea is to promote healthy teamwork and we are all winners,” while Joyce Mgiba, the hospital’s quality assurance coordinator, said the idea for the awards dates back to 2010. She also appreciated management’s support to make it happen and explained how the quality management department is led by the constitution, other laws and the National Department of Health’s policy for quality assurance in healthcare, seeking to improve access to quality healthcare and reducing errors.
She added that quality care in a health establishment is important.
