Missing dog, Jack, found safe

With the help of the community, Jack, a dachshund, has been found.

Jack the dachshund who was reported missing since Thursday, January 5 around the Silverfields area has been found.

On Thursday, January 12, owners pleaded with the community to help look for Jack or even contact them should anyone see him in or around the area.

“At about 17:45 on Friday, January 13, a woman staying in Cloyne Road next to the park in Kenmare (going to the Kloof) phoned me and told me that Jack walked in their home. They immediately took photos and made a post on Facebook,” said the furry friend’s owner, Els-Marie Bosman.

She explained that Jack was gone for eight days and he returned with a few ticks on him, however, other than that, he was in good condition.

“He was glad to see us and we are so grateful to have him back home,” said a relieved Bosman.

The family would like to thank the community for helping search for little Jack.

“We want to thank the community for helping to search for our dog and every person that drove around looking for our beloved dog,” she explained, as he is safely back home.
