Four arrested for unlicensed revolver
Four men have been arrested by Magaliesburg Police after an unlicensed firearm was found in the vehicle they were traveling in.

Magaliesburg Police spokesperson Sergeant Kgomotso Mogwere explained that while Sergeants Evance Mametja, Millie Motlhabi and Constance Mokoena from the Crime Prevention Unit was busy conducting their crime prevention duties did they come across the suspects.

They were patrolling on the R24-Rustenburg Road in Magaliesburg at about 14:30 on Saturday, March 18 when they stopped a silver Toyota Hilux. The four suspects between 34 and 45-years old was inside the vehicle. The suspects and vehicle was searched and a revolver was found inside the vehicle.
“The suspects failed to produce a license or permit for the firearm or to give a satisfactory explanation why the same firearm was in their vehicle. They were subsequently placed under arrest and detained at the Magaliesburg police station. Investigations are ongoing.”
