Krugersdorp Rotary Anns honoured

A Certificate of Appreciation was handed to The Rotary Anns of the Krugersdorp Rotary Club.

The Rotary Anns of the Krugersdorp Rotary Club were acknowledged for their service to the community during the Annual Rotary Anns conference held in Benoni last month.

A Certificate of Appreciation was presented by the District Governor of Rotary to the President of the Krugersdorp Rotary Anns, Riana Pretorius, and her assistants Janet Callard and Roselyn Cartwright.

The Rotary Anns form part of the Rotary Club and together they work to deliver ‘service above self’ (Rotary’s motto) to the people in need in their community.

To add to the local Anns’ pride, a Paul Harris Fellow Award was presented to the secretary of the club, Julia du Plessis, who has been a member of the Krugersdorp Rotary Anns for more than 20 years. Julia is always there when work is to be done and has held the position of secretary, treasurer, and president during her years of membership.

The Paul Harris Fellow Award is given to an individual for exceptional service and devotion towards those less fortunate than themselves. It is said to be a great honour to be acknowledged this way by Rotary.

“The Anns support the gesture and are very thankful to be able to be part of a team of members who are always ready to serve,” Riana said.
