Public Safety cites failed brakes as cause of crash on Voortrekker

Mogale City’s Public Safety provided a statement to the News on the crash that occurred on Tuesday afternoon, August 13 at the Voortrekker Road and Wolmarans Street intersection.

Public Safety Assistant Manager Jimmy Keet confirmed that there were two vehicles involved in the crash and that it was called in at 17:09, where one person sustained minor injuries.

“One of the involved parties claims that their brakes did not work, thus they went over the intersection while the light was red,” Keet concluded.
