Help Wings of Inspiration this Christmas
Wings of Inspiration Care Centre is looking for good Samaritans to help them make a difference.
Christmas is fast approaching and there are a lot of community organisations that remain vulnerable during this time of the year.
Given that Christmas is a time of loving and sharing, the Wings of Inspiration is looking for a good Samaritan who can sponsor them with any goods so that they can continue making a difference.
The care centre has about 10 centres across the West Rand and they take care of hundreds of individuals, providing them with love, care and support.
From frail care to women and children, dog rescue centres, and soup kitchens, they have made it their mission to show up for the less vulnerable.
Heidi Harms, the centre manager for the women’s and children’s shelter in Krugersdorp, says as a non-profit organisation they rely on the public’s donations to maintain the centres.
“We urgently need canned and dry goods, cooking essentials, snacks, hygiene products, milk and juices.
“Every item you contribute will help us provide meals and care to those we support across our homes,” she says.
She says every Christmas they have Santa projects where they collect clothing items, toys, stationery, sweets, and gifts so that all their centres can enjoy Christmas.
“We cannot continue our mission without the kindness and support of caring individuals and businesses like yours. We hope you will consider us a worthy cause to assist. We rely on donations of any kind, no matter how big or small, to be a blessing to others as others have blessed us. Your support directly impacts those in need,” she added.
Heidi is also pleading with community members to avail themselves and visit any of their centres to see what they do.
