Leratong responds to poor quality service backlash

Leratong Hospital who has come under fire for poor quality service and mistreatment responds.

Leratong Hospital received backlash from several patients and their loved ones recently regarding poor service and mistreatment happening at the hospital.

The Krugersdorp News published an article last month detailing the complaints and concerns raised by patients admitted there.

The hospital has since provided feedback on the matter.

According to the hospital’s communication officer, Matlhatsi Dibakwane, the hospital has been made aware of the issues and will investigate the cases raised by the patients.

”Leratong Hospital acknowledges the concerns raised in the recent article regarding patient experiences at our facility. As a leading regional hospital in Gauteng, we take all feedback seriously and remain dedicated to continuously improving the quality of our services and addressing challenges where they arise.”

Dibakwane added that the Quality Assurance Office has attended to the patients’ concerns. Other complaints mentioned in the article are being managed by the established complaints management guidelines.

“We reassure the public that every concern raised will be thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately. It is also important to clarify that the images of the waste area published in the article do not represent any patient care areas of the hospital. We are taking the feedback seriously and are committed to resolving all identified issues,” she concluded.
