Needy tummies filled thanks to joint outreach

IWISA No 1’s Fills Good campaign saw 500 stew meals being distributed, thanks to the sponsors.

As 2025 gains momentum, the Cradle of Hope (COH) has decided to take hands with IWISA No 1’s Fills Good campaign to help the needy community one meal at a time.

“We see firsthand the devastating impact of unemployment on families and individuals in our community. Our mission is to fill the gap, offering not just temporary relief but hope and tools for long-term transformation,” said Melodie van Brakel, founder of COH.

Started in 2007 by Melody, the COH is a nonprofit organisation committed to uplifting vulnerable individuals and providing the opportunity for a new start, with a special focus on women and children. Since first opening its doors, it has become a vital resource to community members offering care, support and the possibility of a new future for those most in need.

COH marketing representative, Catherine Craig said that January 22 was the first time they had a joint outreach with IWISA No 1 and President Hyper since the campaign kicked off last year.

She continued that on Wednesdays, the food they give to the community is ‘meat day’, where the partners donate the ingredients for the stew they prepared for the community.

“We gave out 500 portions of stew, as well as pap for the community who came to get a meal. It was a huge success!” said Catherine.

The COH is always welcoming donations and sponsorships. If you want to assist this NPO, call their office cellphone on 076 262 0452.
