Over 200 people from all walks of life took part as the purpose was to raise funds for more community projects and to raise awareness for underprivileged girls and women who live in the area.
According to the founder of the group, Nthabiseng Nalane, the organisation was formed in September 2021.

“We want to help girls get off the street, teach them how to take care of themselves, restore their self-confidence, love themselves, as well as provide them with some direction through their after-school programmes. Since we started the organisation, we have relied mainly on the community members, businesses and churches, and funeral homes, as they help us a lot.
Our funds mainly go to our programmes that assist with alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, drug addiction and our after-school programme assisting girls with academics,” Nthabiseng said.
The organisation has four volunteers who reach out to homes weekly to provide young girls and women who can not afford sanitary pads.
