Voortrekker Road cleared after ward councillor blocked it

Mid-morning traffic came to a standstill on the busy road due to an unusual sight.

Ward councillor Jaco Holtshauzen was cleared off Voortrekker Road, which he blocked with his bakkie in protest of the ongoing water woes in Krugersdorp.

As the Krugersdorp News initially reported, Holtshauzen blocked the busy road due to most parts of Krugersdorp not having water for three days.

After Public Safety intervened, he decided to move his bakkie.

There is currently still no water in Kenmare, nor a water tanker, and Holtshauzen is trying to organise one.
