Albertina Sisulu Road crash: Motorcyclist airlifted

Motorcyclist airlifted, motorist injured in early morning Mindalore crash.

A motorcyclist was airlifted and a motorist transported to hospital following a collision between a motorbike and two light motor vehicles at the corner of Albertina Sisulu Road and Lotz Street in Mindalore early on Wednesday morning, June 18.

Johan Visser, a tow truck driver for First Help who was on the scene, says the crash occurred at about 06:00.

“According to information available to me, the motorbike and one of the vehicles initially collided, after which a third vehicle struck the motorcyclist,” he stated.

He added that no deaths were reported at the time of publication.

While the road was initially backed up with traffic for some time, authorities confirmed it reopened at around 08:08.
