Agape Love Ministries celebrates Women’s Month with inspiring conference

Agape Love Ministries hosted a Women’s Month conference, highlighting women’s contributions and discussing empowerment, entrepreneurship and gender issues.

A local ministry took time to commemorate Women’s Month by holding a special and inspiring women’s conference on August 16.

According to organiser Lindiwe Sikwela, the conference, which took place at Agape Love Ministries in Mindalore, was held to appreciate and highlight the contributions women make to society.

The event featured both the general public and women from the congregation who gathered to engage in a dialogue about ways to empower young women and girls. Speakers included financial advisor Neo Mabe, former Mogale City Executive Mayor Tyrone Gray, and Noluthando Mangobe. Topics covered included gender-based violence, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic issues affecting women today.

Neo Mabe addresses those in attendance.

“The event formed part of the church’s Outreach Ministry that is moved by compassion to give what we can as an organisation, establishing true, honest and godly principles in the community. Compassionate ministry is rooted and grounded in God’s love for all persons. It is neither prejudiced nor racist. We choose to uphold our vision, mission and purpose to touch people in all walks of life,” Lindiwe said.

According to the church’s official website, they fall under Agape International Ministries South Africa (AIMSA).

AIMSA is an umbrella organisation for other ministries across South Africa, and it is a Christ-centred organisation.
