Tragedy at court as man found hanging in glass tower

A tragic discovery was made at the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court this morning after a man was found hanging inside the glass tower.

Mogale Fire and Rescue (MFR) responded to a tragic scene early this morning, October 22, at the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court.

MFR station Officer Jaco van der Westhuizen said they received a call at around 06:37 about a man on top of the court’s glass tower, located at the corner of Commissioner and Biccard Streets. However, upon arrival, they discovered a man hanging inside the tower.

“At this time, we do not have information on when this occurred,” said van der Westhuizen.

The News was on the scene, where police search and rescue teams, along with MFR, managed to lower the body at around 08:40.

Police were contacted for immediate comment, however, no additional information has been provided at this stage. An update will be published once received.
