Two trucks collide at infamous Pinehaven intersection

Authorities suspect this happened due to brake failure.

Another truck crash was reported at the notorious Pinehaven intersection on Tuesday afternoon, February 3.

The collision occurred at about 16:23. Mogale Fire and Rescue Station officer Piet Legodi said two trucks collided at the intersection, allegedly after one of the vehicles experienced brake failure.

“Both drivers are injured, however the extent cannot be confirmed at the time,” he said.

The crash follows the November 22 incident at the same intersection where more than 30 vehicles were involved, once again raising concerns about safety and heavy vehicle movement through the area.
